It is a fun class for beginners to learn the basics of pottery-making
Unleash your creativity in this hands-on, beginner-friendly pottery workshop. Perfect for first-time wheel users, this relaxing and engaging class introduces the fundamentals of throwing clay and shaping your own ceramic pieces.
After class, we will trim and fire two of your pieces. Once they are ready, you may return to paint them in our studio, or pick them up finished with a clear glaze (included at no extra cost). Optional studio painting, including all materials and firing, is $10 per piece if you choose to return at a later time.
Studio Guidelines:
Please bring your own towels
Bring one clean hand towel and one old towel or cloth for drying hands and cleanup. We do not provide studio towels, so please bring items suitable for clay use.
Wear:
Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
Closed-toe shoes
Hair tied back
Short nails (long nails make throwing difficult)
Arrival:
Please arrive on time so the class can begin promptly.
After Class:
Clean your wheel, tools, and workspace
Take your towels home with you
